Renny Grames is a svelte, sinewy blonde, who has worked as a producer, director, as well as in the art department and as a miscellaneous crew member. But by far her strongest work is before the camera, where she’s acting in about 20 productions, starting with the short film Portraits (2006). Though she’s been in provocatively entitled movies, such as Vamp U (2013), the closest she’s come to getting naked is in her latest, The Mentor (2014). It’s a crime drama, and very unsettling for the piecemeal way it films Renny taking a shower. The editor cuts from her naked legs to her naked back and then to her face under the faucet, missing all the good bits.
